Responsibilities and missions
Alliance activities
Analyze China local context of NEV market related to battery, OEM/supplier strategy, and China standard/policy, and propose appropriate strategy in China to Alliance stakeholders.
Benchmark China Tier1&2 Cell and module suppliers and propose appropriate Chinese partners to Alliance stakeholders.
Build local partnership (Start up, Universities…) to provide relevant innovations to Alliance and its JV in China on NEV topics.
Lead HV-Battery development project utilizing China partner and eco-system based on request from Alliance stakeholders.
Represent the Alliance in the different congress/seminar of Battery and cell chemistry field in China.
Project management
Describe mid-term roadmap of cell / module and BMS technology development in China and propose to Alliance stakeholders, considering China market understanding, competitor benchmarking, standard/government policy research, and China unique eco-system/partners such as China suppliers, start-up, and universities.
Define the short-term project through the deep communication with Alliance stakeholders in order to achieve mid-term roadmap.
Define project MS together with stakeholders and manage MS report and delivery as scheduled.
Anticipate and prevent projects issues by managing risks and by requesting project change to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Realize some feasibility study on new technology for cell / module and BMS with Chinese partners
Team management
Construct the NEV HV-Battery team by identifying necessary skills and resources to complete the projects and future road map.
Manage the NEV Battery team by motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Engage the growth and career development of team members.
Reporting
Manage the regular reporting to Alliance top management.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience in battery Cell.
5+ years of NEV Battery field experience
3+ years of management experience
Extensive understanding of management principles, methods and techniques
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Proven success in providing on site leadership by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership
Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations in diverse work environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
Experience leading, motivating and managing various team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance

Experience in successfully leading projects to on-time, on-schedule and within budget close
Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
Fluent oral English is must
The biggest challenge is:
Ability to work with both Nissan and Renault corporate engineering in order to
-build battery roadmap and identify needed technology breakthrough
-manage advance engineering studies within AILSH
Keep regular communication with Chinese battery suppliers for future alliance development
